Domain Management

Domain Management helps you organize and track multiple websites using AffRank.

What is Domain Management?

Domain Management allows you to:

  • Register and manage multiple websites
  • Verify domain ownership
  • Configure domain-specific settings
  • Monitor affiliate activity per domain
  • Organize links by website

Adding a Domain

Step 1: Create Domain Entry

  1. Navigate to Domain Management
  2. Click Add New Domain
  3. Enter your domain (e.g., example.com)
  4. Select primary language
  5. Click Create Domain

Step 2: Verify Domain Ownership

AffRank verifies you own the domain by checking for script installation:

  1. Click Verify Domain
  2. Install AffRank script on your website
  3. Visit your website once
  4. Return to dashboard and click Verify
  5. AffRank confirms script installation
  6. Domain is now verified ✅

Step 3: Configure Settings

For each domain, configure:

  • Domain Name: Primary domain name
  • Default Language: Content language for keyword matching
  • Time Zone: For analytics reporting
  • Privacy Settings: Data collection preferences

Verification Methods

  1. Add AffRank script to your website
  2. Visit your website once
  3. AffRank detects the script
  4. Domain automatically verifies

Time: Usually instant to 2 minutes

Method 2: HTML File Upload

  1. Download HTML verification file
  2. Upload to your domain root
  3. AffRank checks for file
  4. Verification complete

Time: Usually 5-10 minutes

Method 3: DNS Record

  1. Copy DNS TXT record
  2. Add to domain’s DNS settings
  3. AffRank verifies DNS entry
  4. Verification complete

Time: Up to 24 hours (DNS propagation)

Managing Multiple Domains

Organize Your Sites

Group domains by:

  • Niche: Tech, Finance, Health, etc.
  • Purpose: Blog, E-commerce, SaaS
  • Geographic: US, EU, Asia
  • Status: Active, Development, Archive

For each domain, configure:

Domain Subdomain Settings

Handling Subdomains

AffRank treats subdomains as separate domains:

  • example.com - Main domain
  • blog.example.com - Subdomain
  • docs.example.com - Another subdomain

Each has separate tracking and settings.

Wildcard Domains

To track all subdomains under one domain:

  1. Create domain entry: example.com
  2. Enable Wildcard Mode
  3. All subdomains automatically included
  4. Unified analytics dashboard

Troubleshooting Domain Verification

Domain Not Verifying

Script Installation Method

  • Verify script is in <head> tag
  • Check script loads without errors
  • Clear browser cache
  • Wait 5 minutes for sync
  • Try again

DNS Method

  • Verify DNS record is exact match
  • Wait for DNS propagation (up to 24 hours)
  • Check with online DNS checker
  • Ensure correct domain selected

HTML File Method

  • Verify file at domain root /verification.html
  • File must be publicly accessible
  • Check file permissions
  • Remove file only after verification

Domain Showing as Unverified

Reasons and solutions:

  • Script removed - Re-install script
  • Domain offline - Check if site is live
  • DNS expired - Update DNS record
  • Firewall blocking - Check firewall rules
